چکیده

Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate Peri-implant strain with locator and bar attachment during dislodging of maxillary implant overdenture Materials methods: Four implants were inserted in completely edentulous acrylic model canine premolar areas. Experimental overdentures 4 metal hooks constructed connected the attachments (group I) or 2). Two gauges bonded at buccal palatal surface each implant. Micro strains measured vertical overdenture. Dislodging was made by chains one end a universal testing machine other end. Results: For implants, showed significant higher microstrain values than gauge positions. group, no difference between positions detected. However, for attachments, demonstrated gauges. gauges, both groups Conclusion: Within limitation this vitro study, could be concluded that may recommended retain terms reduced peri-implant stresses occur denture dislodgment which lead increased bone resorption around implants.

Stress analysis of mandibular implant overdenture with locator and bar/clip attachment: Comparative study with differences in the denture base length

PURPOSE The design of the attachment must provide an optimum stress distribution around the implant. In this study, for implant overdentures with a bar/clip attachment or a locator attachment, the stress transmitted to the implant in accordance with the change in the denture base length and the vertical pressure was measured and analyzed. MATERIALS AND METHODS Test model was created with epox...

Comparative evaluation of peri-implant tissues in patients wearing mandibular overdenture with different implant platforms

Background The poor hygiene of peri-implant tissues causes inflammation at tissue-implant interface, which may impair the rehabilitation success. The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of external hexagon and Morse taper implants on peri-implant health in patients wearing mandibular overdentures for 1 year. Materials and Methods A total of 46 implants were evaluated, 28 external ...
